My first m4/3 camera was the G60.  I'd shot Nikon D70/D300 for years and ordered a V1 during Nikon's "fire-sale" and it's use switched me from heavier cameras with larger sensors.  Nikon's blundering with the N1 series, however, caused me to look at other small sensor cameras.  The G60 felt good in hand so I bought one.  Then another....and several different lenses.!

I upgraded to the G7 and found it to be so close to perfect for my wants...great  ergonomics and improved performance.  A significant upgrade to the G60.  It was close to everything I wanted.

Then came the G85, more for the quiet, smoother shutter and IBIS which is so valuable with non-stabilized primes.  However, the other subtle improvements and more solid construction make this my all-time favorite camera.  Though very slightly larger than the G7, it's still comfortable to handle....but anything larger is not for me.  That includes, unfortunately, the G9/GH5.

If Panasonic were to pack the G9 sensor into a G85 body I'd buy two immediately.  If not, the G85 will most likely be the last "big" camera I'll ever buy (at my age!)

Panny's old LX7 has been the pocket camera of choice for me.  Shooting RAW up to ISO 800 will produce prints of 12"x18" which rival the shots from m4/3 with kit zooms.  It's f1.4-f2.3 12-90mm lens is razor sharp across the frame, focus is fast and accurate, it has a built-in ND filter and optional EVF.  Were Panny to put a 1" sensor in that camera, with 1/16,000 shutter and DFD, it would be a home run!
