Re: Feedback wanted - 18-150 vs. 18-55 + 55-200 combination

Just purchased a refurbished 18-150 even though I have 18-55 and 55-200. I have been using my 11-22 a lot but find it a little short and the 55-200 too long for most of my shots. I will see how the 18 minimum works over the holidays. Ideally I would like a 16-70 based on the working distances I experience. Lens changing in a crowd simply is not safe.

Follow up.  Last night I had the chance to test the 18-150 around the night time neighborhood.  M5+18-150 was able to lock onto distant lights and structures located across lake waters as long as some contrast points were detectable, even if exposure times in P mode were many seconds.  Without an external flash, triggering was rapid and delay free.  A 8 in thick pole 20 ft away backed by a night sky did not provide sufficient contrast for auto focus at maximum ISO speed.
