New X-T2 with EVF problem?
Nov 25, 2017
I just got a new X-T2 a few days ago and it came with firmware 2.11 installed so I guess it's a recent build.
Has anyone experienced something like this with your X-T2? I took the image below with my iPhone. It's an image of a photo displayed in the EVF of my new X-T2. This photo is just a test shot with sky in the photo because I knew the lines would appear in those midtone areas.
If this link below works, here are people talking about the same problem (several people). I'm not a member there so I wasn't able to see the image they're talking about, but the description sounds exactly like the problem I'm seeing.

Here's my test shot below. iPhone photo of the EVF in my X-T2. The red box on the top right it typically what I see and the lower red box might have been exaggerated by the iphone image of the EVF, but what I see is normally very faint gray/white vertical lines in the mid tone areas on my EVF either in live view or reviewing a photo already shot (playback). I've never seen anything like this in my previous X-T2, X-Pro1, X100, X100S, my GH5 or any other camera I've owned. To me this seems like a fault and the camera should be swapped out since it's only a few days old.
How about you all? Have you seen this at all in your X-T2 or heard about it from others?
The LCD on the rear of the camera is fine and the actual photos when viewed on the PC are fine. It's only viewing a live image in the EVF or playing back an image in the EVF that shows these weird lines. It normally appears somewhere in the mid tones on pretty much any area on the EVF.
