I think we lost the war on privacy years ago.  Possibly when ARPAnet became the internet.   They are ALL going to spy on you, you can't stop it. Privacy is done for.

The only rational response is to get the best terms of surrender that you can get.  By that, I mean. who gives you the most convenience and stuff for the cost of your privacy?  Right now, it's Google, hands down, and no question about it.  They are offering the most  and in many ways the best online experience.  Though I admit to being pretty impressed with Microsoft's convenience features and how well it integrates WIN10 with Android.  That's an infrastructure to watch.
