Best way to photograph laminate samples?

Hello all!

I was recently tasked with taking photos of a kitchen remodeling company's samples. This mainly consists of paper samples with the printed color and texture. One of the requirements is that the pic must be tileable in Photoshop. This means a big enough sample to avoid noticing repeating patterns, as well as no lighting hotspots. How do I avoid hotspots? What kind of lighting is needed? I didn't realize the amount of difficulty involved when I agreed to lend my services. Ideas? And thanks!
