Buying OEM ink from Ebay - risk of getting non-genuine ink?

Hi all,

It has come time for me to buy some new ink for my R3000. I have been using third party ink, but posts here from jtoolman and Bob P. have inspired me to buy expired OEM ink from eBay instead.

I have found several good deals on 110ml K3 carts originally for 4880 and 7880 printers. Since I'm new to this, are there any tips or guidelines I should follow to ensure I'm buying legitimate OEM ink? Or is this not really a concern? I ask because one of the sellers I'm looking at has OEM carts in only their factory sealing (no box). Seller's rating is good, and the description states that they're genuine carts, but I wanted to ask here in case there are any red flags I should be aware of.

Thanks for any guidance!

Collin
