Lumix TZ60 (ZS40) - intelligent auto almost always chooses macro?

I recently got Lumix TZ60 and I'm trying to understand iA (plus) mode automatic scene selector.

Almost always it displays flower icon in top right corner:

Very, very rarely iA doesn't know the scene and displays:

It doesn't matter if the photo is taken in the room with low light or it is a landscape. For example, below scenery was taken with flower icon displayed:

It appears iA mode doesn't work at all... but it recognizes faces perfectly and it switches to portrait mode:

So, my question is: does your TZ60 (or ZS40) recognize scenes correctly? Is this camera's software issue or there is something wrong with my unit?
