in a perfect world your right but unless you are doing wall size murals its unlikely you will see any real difference

thirty five mm on a twentey four mg full frame sensor is still way better image quality than a thirty time zoom consumer camera.

I hope you are joking ???

A 30X crop on 24mpx sensor would result in 30x30 = 24/900 = .026mpx, (or 26kpx)

So it might make a beautiful image on a "PIN" head.

OOPS ... maybe NOT a beautiful image on a "pin" head because any slight mis-focus or camera-shake would be (30X) MAGNIFIED.

AND the "exposure" (and focus), would not necessarily correct on the "cropped" image as it would have been on a camera with a zoomed lens which was ONLY looking at the "cropped" area in the original shot as it determined exposure/focus.
