Bee-eaters continued.....(E-M1 mk ii + 300mm f4)

Hi all

I finally processed the rest of the images from my 1st Rainbow Bee-eater shot this season so here they are.

Continued from http://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/4223889

female in flight with wings flapped down

male in a classic flight pose

female with mid afternnon shadows appearing in background

Male calling

male in his favourite shady perch

With the strong sun high above i captured the sheen really well on this female

A male near the end of his speedy dive from a high perch

A real poser (male)

Next frame, getting too close

Suspended in mid air Well not really

Male speeding past me

look at that eye (female)

The male missed his meal, a Cabbage white butterfly on the right. The butterfly can flutter like lightning to to avoid been eaten but alot of the time it eveentually gets  captured. Just getting a shot with his speed and body in full afterburner mode is a massive achievement for C-AF

Female in all her beauty

female with her on on something

Just another from the same sequence as the previous image

Wing motion still not frozen even at 1/3200 mechanical. E-shutter would fail here big time (male)

That's it

regards

Vas
