I Think I Made a Mistake.

I previously posted about the joy of buying a used 4/3 12-60 f2.8-f4 lens. I'd been wanting this lens for a while and when I found one for less than $240 USD I jumped at the chance. It's been a stellar performer and the greater overal zoom range has helped me get a number of shots I wouldn't have with my trusty 14-54.

A friend who uses m4/3 let me see how his EM1/12-40 PRO combo felt. Mistake! Such nice balance. Great AF speed with more focus points avalable. More consistent face detect and c-af tracking.

Now I'm having a G.A.S. attack! LOL

I even went back and checked focal length percentages and have concluded I could use the fixed f2.8 more than the longer reach. Or at least my G.A.S. affected brain thinks so!

I don't really need the lens, but I want it.

Hey, I know: I'll buy the 7-14 PRO instead with the justification that I need the wide angle range more...or maybe the portrait combo Olympus is offering (the 45 and 75 f 1.8 together) since I want to add some primes. Oh woe is me.
