1.4 Primes or 24-70 ii

Hello all,

So I own three stunning L lenses and a tamron 45 1.8 which I will sell, it is not sharp and the AF is slow. But the L lenses (16-35 f4, 135 f2 and 100-400 ii) are awesome and I want to add a last lens to my collection to fill the gap between 35 and 135mm and that lens will serve for general purpose shooting, travel and events. So here are my options:

1) The 24-70 ii

2) Two f1.4 primes (35 f1.4 ii and 84 f1.4)

My question is which option should I go for, and based on your photography which option have you gone for and/or is your go to setup for events and general shooting?

I know these lenses, I had a chance to test the 1.4 primes at a Canon booth on a 5D IV and 5DsR. I also tested out a friends copy of the 24-70 ii for a short amount of time. Normally I chose my lenses based on sharpness, but these are all very sharp so thats not working here. It really is a hard decision, I love the zoom ability of my 16-35 f4 and 100-400 ii but I also like the magic f2 aperture of the 135 f2, and this is the same story: the ability to zoom versus the beautiful f1.4 apertures.

So I'd be very happy to get some feedback from you guys!
