Thank you, "Intelligent Viewfinder" was the term I was looking for. A number of the Canon 200D brochures do refer to the Intelligent Viewfinder feature on the 200D but alas as you say it looks like the gridlines didn't make it in.

View finder is not intelligent viewfinder. No level indicator, No grid lines. Focus points doesn't blink during servo tracking I think. There is a level indicator on flippy screen. Those focus point boxes are little bigger. May be we can try aligning those boxes with vertical objects in the frame. I am also struggling to keep it balanced without level indicator.
