The Eagles of Cook Inlet
37

Here's a few shots of Bald Eagles from Alaska.

Two adults sitting out an early spring rain.

Younger juvenile fluffs up.

Close up.  Younger birds have black beaks and brownish eyes.

Adults beaks change to yellow and the eyes to a pale bluish-yellow cast. Older juvenile feeds on the remains of a moose  leg.  Eagles are great scavengers, but will take birds and fish when the opportunity presents itself.

A younger bird soars over Cook Inlet with the Chigmit Mts. in the background.

A few more.

Hope these are enjoyed, lots of fun to capture,

Eric
