Just a thought for the forum...Do you think that if Canon brings out a G3X II will it successfully compete with the Sony RX10 IV?

Your opinions?

Traditional SLR users demand a decent built-in viewfinder which the G3X does not have. I was considering to upgrade my wife's SX40 HS to the G3X but she rejected it as it does not have a built-in VF. I agree with her. I upgraded my G7X with the G5X because of that. Replacing my M3+EVF with the M5 is another upgrade for me but I can wait for a full frame one from Canon.

Speaking of SX40 (and SX50/60), if Canon used that form factor with updated electronics/Digic7/EFV it would work nicely as a G3X II package. The SX 40/50/60 just aren't any larger than the G3X and with the built-in EVF actually present a smoother and less cluttered footprint.
