P900, things in the sky, et als.

live near an airport. But you'd never know it.

Aircraft? What aircraft?

Rarely see one. Longest runway in the UK and they only send up about three or four holiday jets a day.

Never in my direction. Always due South to the jolly sunshine.

Imagine my surprise today when a real live jet came up towards me.

And guess what?

I was holding my trusty P900.

Shoulda filled in the lottery ticket pronto.

Turned out not to be a cattle wagon, but something to do with oil spillage.

How do I know? Because it says so on the side.

Four and a half miles away I reckon. And it's readable.

Gotta hand it to the little Nikon.

Also residing in this pale blue and misty sky was a tiny whitish orb.

P900's can deal with this, so I took the shot. Hand held.

Got rid of the blue stuff. Just leaving the Moon.

Caramba! Never seen such detail from a cheapo camera.

I think I'll offer it to NASA for a princely sum.

I'd heard somewhere, that if I put up a feeder and filled it with Nyjer seed, I'd attract

Somewhat sceptically I did just that.

To my amazement, just 20 minutes later a couple turned up.

Rubbish shot, but maybe they'll come back sometime and I'll do better.

Want to see a wet baby Squirrel or a bee with what looks like a spare wing on its back?

Be my guest.

Lucky me.

Always take the shot ................

Rains a lot around here.

Just asked to be photographed

They call them Busy Bees............?
