A new A Mount lens offering

Woohoo, it comes in A Mount. Its weight will give your muscles memories. To compensate, your wallet will be a lot lighter. And the focus peaking available in the current SLTs should make manual focus at 135/1.4 a breeze

So hello, Tamron, Tokina, Sigma: A Mount is still around!

Sarcasm off: I honestly wonder what the purpose of this lens is. Any helpers?

This appears such a specialized offering that it needs to address most of the current mounts to achieve any kind of satisfactory sales figures. Given that Sony still offers the optically excellent CZ135/1.8 (with AF to boot) , I see not much of a market for the Mitakon in A Mount (sarcasm again: Going from 1.8 to 1.4 takes care of the SLT "light loss" of course...).

But hats off to Mitakon for their guts and good luck!
