Nikon 80-200 f2.8 manual aperture problem
So I just bought the old Nikkor 80-200 2.8 with push-pull and there is something quite odd happening with it.
I use the D7100 and have it set to manuel, if I have the lens on f22 so the camera controls the aperture everthing is fine, but when I have the manuel aperture control, my camera won't take a picture.
The f indidactor on the camera blinks "fEE", and it will not show shutter speed either and not even pressing the button works. If I turn the aperture dial back to lock to F22, then I get an aperture number and shutter speed back.
Swapping between manual and autofocus is no problem, apart from it only wanting to autofocus when the aperture dial is set to auto.
Is it because of my camera or something, that it won't let me control the aperture manually?
