I was delighted when I upgraded from the GH4 to the G7, which does better video with less crop in 4K and it definitely has better colours (especially reds and greens). Plus it is smaller and lighter.

It is so light I happily use it for street photography many days. I have carried it on treks for quite a few miles hanging off 2 fingers and a thumb all day and not felt tired at all (with the 12-32). Also I can shoot with it comfortably one handed whilst cycling. It's ergonomics are perfect for my hands.

Plus when I made the switch I came out £330 richer because the G7 lacks a few pro video bits that you probably don't need, like the headphone jack and lower external video recording specs. For photos the £300 G7 is great. And 560g down to 410g is very noticeable.

There is probably a good sale on the G7 at the moment meaning you may also come out with a profit.
