Hello Canon side of things, I am a Fuji user but am currently researching Canon DSLR's for a specific purpose: real estate video. I am pursuing a career change and considering real estate photography, and of course a huge part of RE photography is video of home interiors. I have a fuji X-T1 (which is not suitable for serious video) and an X-T20 (which has much better video along with uncropped 4k). However, I'm not sure Fuji lenses (in particular the 10-24) are optimized for video. The focus jumps, and changes in exposure (i.e. when panning with bright windows) are "jittery".
I have seen some videos online of Canon video, which seems to have much smoother changes in focus, more like a nice "focus pull". I guess that's the advantage of Dual Pixel AF. The canon touchscreen also offers more functionality than that of the X-T20.
So my questions are:
1. Does anyone have any video experience, in particular RE interiors, with either of these cameras, and if so, how are the exposure and AF transitions?
2. The T7i has a form of IBIS for video. Will this work with any lens (i.e. the Sigma 10-22), or will it just work with Canon lenses (like the 10-18, which I've read has ghost and flare issues)?
3. Is the IBIS and in-lens stabilization a moot point anyway, since smooth video would be better achieved with the DSLR on a handheld gimbal?
I'm trying to decide the best way to pursue getting into RE photography. Is it ok to go with two systems (Fuji for my stills work, Canon for video), or should I invest in one system for both stills and video (hard to contemplate because I love the Fuji stills and overall shooting experience). Thanks for any information on Canon's abilities in the areas I've asked about
