But you do have control — you've set the best shutter and aperture priority for the situation and allow the ISO to rise to a preset maximum, and as you say, with a preset minimum shutter speed.

My default is always on, but there are situations where you want to turn it off.

Even if for you the situation is reverse, where the default is off, there are still plenty of scenarios where it would be beneficial.

So it's good that you're learning not to ignore this useful feature.
