2D to 3D Depth Recession

I didn't read all the comments, but: (Here are samples too)

I can see a couple of mistakes here:

- Focal length is different for your right and left eye images.  This is very visible in the 3rd image.  You can also see it pretty well on the peacock feathers.

- The camera is not aiming to the same point at infinity.

These to things above are critical.  Here are some crossed eyes samples:

This one won't cause discomfort even though the distance between L/R optical axis is like 600mm because there's nothing close enough to the lens to disturb your vision.

This one causes a little discomfort  in the lower part for the same reason as the picture below.

This last picture will put strain on your eyes when you look the lower section.  This is caused by a wider than usual optical axis distance (1.5 meter or so) to exacerbate the depth effect on distant subjects.
