Just a heads up to fellow forum members, Canon is having a nice refurbished sale at their website. In my experience, Cameras come boxed up in a brown box looking like new. Some deals:
sx710 hs $279- $80 instant savings = $199 - 15% additional savings = $169.99
g9x silver $479- $150 instant savings = $329 - 15% additional savings = $280.49
g1x mkii $719- $200 instant savings = $519 - 15% additional savings = $441.99
g5x $719 = $80 instant savings= $639 - 15% additional savings = $543.99
g3x $899 - $150 instant savings = $749 - 15% additional savings = $637.49

I think the g9x and g1x ii are particularly good deals. If you want either of these, its a tough price to beat.
The G1X II is going for £449 properly boxed and new which helps resale. If you take off the 20% VAT that equates to £359 which at at 1.37 gives $492. Not sure that saving $50 for a brown box version is that good a deal. Do these have 1 year warranty?
Possibly we are getting a good deal over here which we often do when stuff is being dumped.
A banner did come up saying trick or treat so they are hedging their bets on whether it is a good deal or not.
