I own an Oly epl7 for a few years after trying other modern cameras. I chose the little Oly because of its size, and overall performance - it's packed with great features and the IQ is very good, the IQ difference compared to larger sensors is something you won't notice most of the times. A few months ago I bought a Fuji S5. I wanted to try the s5 for a long time but I couldn't find a good offer. I made a few tests side by side and I will try to be honest and objective (you can compare photos taken with both cameras on the internet but only a side by side test in the same conditions can tell you if the S5 is worth its fame or not). Firstly - the S5 is very large and heavy compared to Oly, it's slower (Oly is fast and responsive) but for general photography it's fast enough in my opinion. The very nice surprise was the AF and metering; I was worried about that reading the reviews, but AF is spot on only a few missed shots, metering also spot on - almost all shots are very well exposed (I use matrix metering most of the time) without any need for exposure compensation. By comparison Oly has a tendency to underexpose (at least in my case and I have to compensate when I don't want that). I must mention I use 50 mm AF-D lens using the camera AF motor. Now the IQ (that matters the most at least for me) - the difference is quite visible. Oly SOOC files (all in natural mode) are nice by themselves but put next to S5 SOOC they look flat, a little desaturated, skintones a little pale but very nice detail and sharpness. S5 SOOC (standard mode) are superb - vivid colors and skintones, the photos look alive. I don't use flash or any other light and the pictures look good even in overcast days when Oly looks really dull (this is my experience not something I read on the internet - all modern cameras have the same kind of rendition and Olympus is doing a good job but they are limited by the sensor they use in this regard). However there is a visible difference in sharpness and detail - but only if you look at 100%. Fuji has a very different rendition - it looks silky smooth but not soft (only if you miss the focus) for me it's sharp enough and with a little help from Adobe if needed it's ok. Another problem coming from the great Oly IBIS is the lack of any stabilization on the S5 - you need firm hands and always keep an eye on shutter speed - I wasn't used to that and I've missed a few shots. Now I tried to make Oly files look like S5. You simply can't. Oly's flat files can magically transform with our Adobe friend's help sometimes pretty close to S5 but it takes time and you can't make a fixed preset - sometimes it works better other times it doesn't - and the overall rendition just can't be emulated. It's easier with S5 - just click and you're done - no PP. Sorry for the long story - I like both cameras and my conclusion is to go for S5 if you like "beauty" photos - portraits and nature (flowers,etc)

hello thank you for your answer:) at this moment i disagree with you. i will say that yes fuji is fun to use and of course is more professional camera than the omd  cameras ( more buttons etc) but technology and image quality and high iso is far ahead to olympus . i dont know if i am wrong but at the moment i get soft images for this fuji and  i am not happy. images from olympus is amazing. please check i post some photos here in my today testing.
