E-M5II in cold weather?

While waiting for my E-M5II to come back from repair I've had time to do some web research on Olympus M4/3 cameras.  Reading comments from owners I read one where a fellow had bought a new(at the time) E-M1 and shot 10,000 picture with it and truly loved the results.  He then made a trip to China with the camera and the one morning he got up it was -15 C and every time he took a shot he'd have to take the lens off and take his finger to trip the shutter down.  He had previously used Canon and Nikon in much colder conditions with no problems.  has anybody  here had cold weather trouble with their O-MD camera and if so was there any trick to solve the problem.  It gets damn cold in Michigan in the winter and I want to be ready since it will be my first trial winter with my E-M5II.
