Aperture priority picking too fast a shutter speed

Sometimes my G7X II will pick too fast a shutter speed (much faster than the reciprocal of the full frame equivalent focal length), which forces the ISO too high. For example, I might be shooting at full zoom (36.8mm or roughly 100mm on a full frame). Why does it sometimes pick a shutter speed around 1/200th? This forced the ISO to 1600. Is there a way to set the camera to aperture priority and tell it not to have a faster shutter speed than the reciprocal of the full frame focal length?
