canon 5d mrk iv soft images

I'm relatively new to photography, I've been taking photos  for approximately two and half years as a enthusiastic amateur with a view to a career change.

I upgraded from a canon 70d to a 5d mrk iv expecting a huge improvement in image quali ty, I'm using good quality L series lenses but have been a little disappointed in the results so far with the 5d ,  images soft in good light, shutter speeds fast enough to eliminate camera shake. I do get some very good images but it seems to be a low percentage of images that are good?

I mainly take photos of landscape\seascape, family portraits and occasionally wildlife.

My  question, is there anyone else out there dissatisfied with the  5d mrk iv  or is it an issue of pro equipment in the hands of a relative novice.

I would really appreciate some constructive feedback

P.s. I have calibrated the lenses using a spyderlenscal,

70-200mm f2.8 ii

24-70mm f4.0

16-35mm f2.8
