Declare or Not to Declare gear into Thailand (plus other concerns)

Happy Friday Everyone,

In a few weeks I will be headed to Phuket, Thailand for a short vacation. I want to take my Canon 5ds, two lenses, batteries, chargers and my laptop. I have researched my concern but getting conflicting information and nervous taking it but I want those crisp photos. I have a Canon T6i but there is no comparison to the 5ds of course.

1) Do I have to declare my equipment upon arriving to Customs at the airport? I have only had my gear (as I updated my camera gear) just about two months.

2) Am I able to carryon all of these items including the batteries to my camera body? Any restrictions?

I plan to take my grip off to make it lighter and less attractive, maybe even throw on some gaffer tape to make it look junky. lol

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank. you for your time.
