Any advice on studio equipment for physically disabled photographer?

I have a client who is a keen amateur photographer. She has a degenerative ligament disease and is not able to lift weight. She would like to set up a studio where lighting is flexible, but she doesn't have to raise or lower light stands or carry them around.I was thinking of maybe a four light pantograph system hanging from the ceiling. Does anyone have experience with how much pressure it takes to higher or lower these lights? Can they be moved along the tracks? If anyone knows of any studio systems that might work, I'd be delighted to know. She shoots tabletop still life, including painting with light, but also has an interest experimenting with portraits.
