Actually the 60 macro should be a good option here as well but do not own it so I am asking :)....

The 40 works well. It's a bit smaller than the 50, so it's still really small, even with the adapter. I prefer the 50, though, for the faster aperture and slightly longer focal length.

As the length of a thread approaches 150, the probability that someone will make the obvious "it's not the camera, it's the photographer" remark approaches 1.
