A6000 and Auto ISO

Hi all,

My general method for walk-around shooting is to manually set ISO and then choose from shutter/aperture options in P.  This generally works except when I forget to reset ISO for a new situation.

Then I watched a Youtube video where the photographer recommends using Auto ISO and Aperture Preferred (on a Canon) as his standard setting.  OK, sounds good, I'll try it.

My A6000 doesn't want to automatically set high ISOs.  For example, I select f2.8 in an unlit room and the A6000 selects 1/13 shutter at ISO 800.  That's pretty useless; I can't handhold 1/13.  Why didn't the camera select 1/50 at ISO 3200?

So my question:  Is there any way to change the camera's algorithm to force higher auto ISOs in Aperture priority mode when the camera is hand-held?
