Is anyone still using the original A7/A7r?
2

I pre-ordered the A7r and received it on launch day - I was so happy! That was 4 years ago. When the A7rii came out, the temptation was strong as it was better in pretty much all areas, but I resisted and delved into film photography instead to scratch that GAS itch.

Film suits me just fine, but I do still enjoy digital photography and the A7r has always produced pleasant images. When the A9 was announced, I never even considered it as it has lower resolution than what I currently have. But it got me thinking...I like to get a lot of use out of my equipment; it's not inconceivable for someone to buy an A9 and use it for 4 years before upgrading. This means, I would still have a competitive camera (resolution-wise) for 8 years since the original purchase date.

When I do come to upgrade, it's going to be one hell of an upgrade!
