Saw-whet Owl with my Benro
7

Photographed my first Northern Saw-whet Owl of the season. It is eastern Ontario's smallest owl even smaller than the Eastern Screech Owl. They are very cute.

Although I have been using a larger Gitzo 3530 tripod for years, I decided to go light with a very compact tripod this summer. The Benro TMA28C is not made for a big lens like the Canon 500 f4 II and 7D MK2 but it works. It holds a big setup like mine very steady.

The Benro folds down to about 19 inches and feels very light and looks quite compact. Easier to go hiking with it attached to a compact backpack.

Photographed with the 7D MK2 and 500 f4 II lens. Benro TMA28C tripod and Wimberley Sidekick. Thanks for looking.
