when you open it to f2, how do you get the corner sharp? do you focus at the corner and leave the center soft?

to get corner to corner sharp, do we need to stop down?

I went through three copies, to get the corners sufficiently sharp requires f8 or higher. But most photos do not require the corners to be sharp, and even wide open, the center is very sharp.

I currently have the 35 2.8 and I like it for the size, but I'm considering switching it for the Loxia 35. I'll probably pick up the latter and then sell the one I don't want after shooting them both for a bit.

If you are interested in sharp corners, then the 35/2.8 is a better bet. I sold mine (even though it was fantastically sharp) and replaced it with the Sigma 35/1.4 ART (equally fantastically sharp). Despite it's big size, one of my most used lenses now.

But I am hoping for a Loxia 28mm
