It’s funny how relative everything is. I own and use the XT1 and the X-Pro1, which is a generation older - and talk of the XT1 as “molasses” and “painfully slow” is a bit comical to me. I don’t even find the XP1 all that bad, but the XT1 is quite nippy in comparison, certainly as far as things like playback and menus etc go.

Autofocus can always be improved, and I’m pretty sure that when the XT3 has been out for a while the AF on the XT2 will be chuckled at knowingly too - but in half decent light I have no problem with the XT1 and it can track some action ok. It’s only when the light levels drop that things slow down and become a little unreliable.

My biggest annoyance with the XT1 is those waxy skintones in jpegs at high iso - which is a backwards step from the XP1. They start to become visible at anything over 1600 but 3200 is the absolute limit for me.

Yeah, I’ve never had a complaint about the speed of navigating the menus. It has always seemed quick to me.
