Worst skin tone ever...

I think this is the worst photo shoot I have ever done.  I didn't bother to set white balance as thought I was shooting in raw...only to discover I was not.   I have ended up with the perfect storm of horrible, gray skin tones with flat lighting as I had to shoot in the shade.  Also, my subject was very fair, which I find more challenging.  I have LR 4.4 and PS Elements 7 and have mostly tried fixing it in LR by playing with color curves, temp sliders, color saturation sliders and toning the highlights, but everything I do looks terrible.  I have never had so much trouble with fixing skin tones.  Anyone want to take a crack at it?  I feel like I have been staring at it so long that everything looks weird to me now!  I am attaching the original, one of my failed attempts and another shot from the photoshoot which gives a better approximation of coloring.  Any help is appreciated.  TIA!
