Autumnal Walk with the Leica D-Lux (aka LX100)
1

I've posted these images two days ago on the "Leica Talk" forum. Because the D-Lux is in fact a twin of the Pana LX100 some forumers on this Pana forum could be interested as well. Particularly after some discussions about a possible successor "LX200" but also because of the apparently never ending discussion about the "mediocre lens", the cropped MFT sensor, and the "dust on sensor".

After long time with bad weather the sun was at last shining last sunday. Good time to do a morning walk with the little Leica. It's always a pleasure to enjoy the output of this versatile cam.

Due to the software correction of the D-Lux/LX100 lens the corners and the edges are of course not up to genuine Leica standards. Therefore, this cam is often criticised. As though the general impression of an image would depend on purely technical aspects. I don't think that the posted images are seriously suffering from the mentioned restriction.

OTOH, the overall set of features (fast lens, effective IS, useful focal range, good EVF, small - but not too small - dimensions, and an "adult" handling scheme) qualify the D-Lux/LX100 for versatile general use.
