Prop Action . . . ???

Hi All

Took this image recently of a bush plane taking off . . . not a great shot . . . trying to pan hand held with my 80-200 f/2.8 AFS @ 145mm on my D7000 . . . shutter speed was too slow at 1/160s . . . should have been probably a stop faster at 1/320s . . . I was trying to get good prop blur in the image . . . got the good prop blur but the image is soft . . . but my question is . . . what is the weird prop action blur trailing the prop . . . obviously prop rotations but why are we seeing that . . . what is it . . . don't think I have ever seen that before . . . I don't understand what is happening here . . . can someone please explain?

What is this strange prop blur???

Any clarification here would be greatly appreciated!

Best,

V G
