On the level: getting down and dirty with birds for those who aren't flexible

Hi

I am learning so much on this forum.  One piece of feedback I have consistently been given, and read for others, is that it's nicer to get 'down to their level' with water birds, ground-based birds etc..

My problem is that I only returned to photography as a serious hobby since I retired, and my body is a bit worn out nowadays. I have osteoarthritis and so can't kneel, squat, or get down on the ground (at least not if I want to get up again).   Do any of you have similar issues, and if so how do you get around them please?  Any tips appreciated.

Thanks as always

Lyn
