G1X II vs G1X III equivalence? (Shot noise vs Electronic Noise)

So let me get this straight G1X II has faster equivalence (as does the G7X and G5X depending on what part of the lens we're talking)...

So normally, larger sensors have faster equivalence, except this new guy the G1X III is only faster, by a hair, on the wide end...

Explain to me how a camera, that's got a bigger sensor, absorbing less light, is going to be better again? This is a shot noise vs electronic noise question... Shot noise the G1X II is "better", the G1X III obviously should be better from electronic, but, shot noise is almost always the bigger factor as the G1X II well explains through it's IQ vs say the RX100 series...

Thoughts?
