A6000 - how to unlock exposure when stopping down - MF mode

I've been using the A6000 with some MF lenses. I have set a custom function button to enter MF selection point mode. By pressing the OK button (center of selection wheel) the screen magnifies and I can fine focus. However, when stopping down  (or opening up), the LV exposure doesn't auto-correct as it would when not in this mode. What I have to do is exit MF magnification and then change the aperture to see the LV show the corrected exposure.

Is there a way to get the camera to respond in MF magnification mode as it would in the normal non-magnified view?

I'd like to see the correct exposure in the MF magnification mode to make any final focus adjustments.
