It depends on the use. For a landscape image in good light I doubt the differences will make or break a photograph and most won't really be apparent until you pixel peep. Other factors like subject matter, framing, atmosphere, etc will do much more to determine whether or not your image is compelling. For something where you want to isolate the subject or fast action that you want to capture the difference could make a much bigger impact on whether or not your image ends up being compelling.
