Rear command dial on Fuji X-E3

Hello everybody,

I've got a question that may sound strange or unimportant to some of you, but it is not for me. Let me explain: I'm in the market to either get the X-E3 or the X-T20, with my preference going to the X-E3 due to the viewfinder position. I plan to use the camera with back button focusing, where the rear command dial should work as the focus button. I found that on my X100T, the X-T20 (in 2 shops) and the X-T2 (of a friend), pressing the rear command dial gives a satisfying clicking feel when pressed. On the one X-E3 I was able to get my hands on in a shop, however,  pressing the rear command dial resulted in a very vague and indistinct feeling, which I didn't like at all.

So my question for you guys here already owning an X-E3 would be: How does pressing the rear command dial feel on your camera? Was the X-E3 I was able to test in store just the odd duck, or does every X-E3 feel that way?

It might sound strange, but I'd rather press my nose against the LCD-screen than to be annoyed every time I press "my" focus button. I did try the AE-L button as back focus button as well, but unfortunately it doesn't allow for a pleasant hand/finger position for me.

Thanks a lot for any help in advance,

Chris
