K-S2 and BULB, shutter release

K-S2 is nice DSLR, but there is one fault (at least for me): lack of wired remote connector = no support for wired remote. Simple thing, but embarrassing if you shoot long BULB exposures. I don't care IR releases so much.

But there is a solution!

...There is options in K-S2 custom menu (C1 - Bulb mode options) how shutter works in bulb mode, you can choose:

* type1 - exposure continues while the shutter release button is pressed.

* type2 - exposure starts with the first press of the shutter release button and ends with the second press of the shutter release button.

...Since it is difficult to keep the shutter release button depressed when using for example IR remote , I think it's much better using [Type2] in such cases.

cheers,

Ari
