Does anyone here have the Sigma 24-135mm lens?

I'd love to see some sample photos from an SD1 or SD Quattro (or even an SD Quattro H), shot with that 24-135mm f2.8-4.5 from Sigma. I know it's not an image stabilized lens, but it sure is a perfect zoom range. I suspect it might not be as good as the 18-125 OS lens, but if it is then it might be worth purchasing it for shooting from a tripod, which is what I try to do most of the time.

Unfortunately it only gets a rating of 7 at FredMiranda.com.

Here's the 18-125 OS:

Why am I even considering such a lens, when I have a 17-50mm f2.8 EX OS lens? Because I want more reach without having to switch lenses. Now I have a 70-300 OS, and I like it, but I have to switch lenses to get the longer focal length . . . and the image quality isn't worth it. I'd rather have a decent over-all zoom lens, which gives better image quality than the 70-300 up to its longest focal length. I've considered the 18-300, but I can't believe that super-zoom could offer the same image quality a shorter full-frame zoom lens would offer. It might make a better carry lens for using off a tripod though, since it's an OS lens. Then again, the 18-125 is an OS lens too.

The 18-300 isn't that impressive beyond the range the 18-125 can shoot at anyway.

Ultimately I'm looking for an inexpensive full-frame zoom lens with more reach, because I plan to get a Sigma SD Quattro H, but I don't want to pay for a 24-105mm f4 OS Art . . . and I don't think the 105mm image quality of that Art lens is all that impressive anyway. I'll probably end up with a 105mm f2.8 OS macro, but then that means changing lenses again, and I am getting tired of changing from my 17-50 to my 70. I'd grow extra tired by throwing a third lens into the mix. I'm considering getting a 17-70 and the new 100-400, and then I can just keep the SD1 when I get the SD Quattro H. I'll keep the 70mm macro, just for portraits and macro shots, but most of the time I'll keep the two zooms mounted on my two cameras. Eventually I'll probably end up with two SD Quattro H bodies, I imagine.
