Portrait lens for M3 with real focus speed?

I have an M3 and I actually love the camera.  I love using the 11-22 on it.  The 22mm F2 is sharp but not really long enough for amazing bokeh and it definitely struggles to focus in low light.
I recently bought the EOS adapter and the Canon 50mm 1.4 USM.   I have read it's a super sharp lens even wide open on DSLRs that have the Micro Adjust option.   I was hoping with mirrorless that would not be necessary.   The lens is very sharp, but the focusing is super slow.  I am guessing the slow focus is due to the adapter as the lens is USM, but I have not used it on a DSLR without an adapter.
In good light or with a flash the lens is nice.   I think my main complaint is focus speed.  I did use manual focus with focus peaking and it was not bad.

My only other complaint during this test was a camera limitation.   When using natural evening light even at ISO 3200 the shutter speeds below 1/25th came out soft.   I was spoiled with my OMD EM1 that could take a tack sharp photo at 1/5th.
Anyway I guess I am asking what do you guys use for portraits and do you think Canon will be coming out with a portrait lens for the M mount?   Maybe a 50 or 85 f1.8 USM for the M mount?
