Removing Godox AD200 head, or not

I got a couple of Godox AD200s for tabletop photography. More on that in another thread, maybe. Actually, I got the Adorama-branded version, the Flashpoint eVOLV 200. One of the first things I wanted to do was swap in the bare-bulb head. I found the latch and pulled it back. Then I tugged on the speedlight head. Nothing. I looked at the manual (yes, I know, that's shameful). It said to pull "gently". I pulled a lot more than gently. Nothing. I do know that the head moved a bit, because the latch didn't go all the way back when I let go. I pushed the head in. It didn't seem to move, but the latch snapped back. I tried again. Nope. I tried with the other AD200/eVOLV 200. Same thing.

OK, folks, what am I missing here?

Jim
