Wide angle primes and lens flare, veiling, ghosting, sagatical coma and streaking
Sep 28, 2017
In my two threads below I find extreme problems shooting into strong front light and also light entering from the side of the frame. This doesn't happen anywhere near as badly with my APS-C DSLR and 17-50MM F2.8 at 23mm.

Now is this just a wide prime issue and also in part the X system mount flange closeness to sensor etc (many articles have been written about the purple grid pattern type artifacts) that will happen with any camera with most wide primes?
Or would an XE2S/XE3 with 23mm F2 or 18mm F2 handle these conditions better than the X100T's tiny lens?
I am happy to exchange in a heartbeat to one of the above combinations should the problem be less pronounced, that is all the problems mentioned in the title when shooting into bright light, especially front light and stray side light.
I will be happy to keep the X100T if it is widely believed another camera with 23mm F2 or 18mm F2 would have similar problems Fuji or non Fuji and then I'll just be careful in those situations or learn to make it part of my style or just not photograph in those situations if can be avoided.
But if one of the above combos - probably I'd get a black new and unused X-E2S - with 23mm F2 or 18mm F2 would perform better I have no choice but to sell the T and buy the above.
Another consideration is an A6300 and Sony 20MM F2.8. I'm not going smaller than APS-C, personal taste.
Kind Regards
