The Case of the Missing Cell Tower

Here are  1:1 clips of two images taken minutes apart from slightly different angles.  The images are nothing to write home about but what is interesting is one of them has a cell tower above the building and in the other it's not there.  Noise reduction is set to -1 and sharpness is set to +1 for both images. The camera was an X-T20 and the lens used was a Minolta MD 50mm/1.4 probably at f8.  Both images were jpeg only.

Is this an example of the noise reduction reducing resolution or is it because I am at the limits of the sensor resolution?

Here is the full image without the cell tower.

Maybe Fuji could market this as a feature - You can eliminate those ugly cell towers in your landscapes.

Any ideas why?   Thanks!!
