Chicagohenge Fall 2017 - 2 quick snaps

Hi all,

With yesterday,  22-SEP, kicking off the fall season (although you certainly wouldn't know it with an unusually warm week we're having, we're talking 90s F), I bring you 2 quick snaps of the local phenomenon known as Chicagohenge.

The city's grid layout is nearly aligned with the points of a compass, so around each equinox we're treated to such an occurrence.  These particular shots were from the steps leading up to the Pritzker Pavillion in Millenium Park, facing west down Washington street.

My favorite of then night since the train car is also in the shot.

And just after this, aside from the 100+ photographers that were hanging around, *all* the tourists had their phones in the air as well.  The following isn't pin-sharp, but it was the best I could get after hoisting the camera up above my head and hoping for the best.

We don't normally get to the see the sun look so large

Thanks for stopping by!
