This is so obvious that it is not really worth mentioning.  Probably why I have never seen it mentioned.  I knew the answer the very second I first noticed it ... but I think that it worth mentioning as a sort of "duh-oh" for those that have not thought greatly on the topic.

Take one M4/3 body and fit a 0.71x focal reduction adapter to it without a lens.  Look through the adapter - what do you see?  A very nice perfect-looking aps-c size sensor ....

Duh-oh - an immediate sensor enlargement for those that might need it.

Of course that is exactly what focal reduction adapters do.  And myself steeped in the enlarged image circle mystique when in fact the lens is actually seeing a bigger sensor

(In a sort of round about convoluted way of saying much the same thing).
